Using the Ellipsis Earth App
Below are instructions on how you can use the App.
- Assuming students have taken photos…
- Complete/Finish the survey. This is done by double-clicking the pause button in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Yes” when asked if you would like to “Finish the Survey”. See video below:
- Students should upload all images by selecting the upload button (which when you have finished the survey replaces the camera icon). See below:
- There is no need to select individual photos, just bulk upload all images and you can reject/validate the photos within the uploads tab within the Ellipsis Earth portal. See video below:
A grey box lets you know the survey has been completed, with a number next to the upload icon. In this case number 22. Select this grey box and this will take you back to the upload screen.
Leave the app open, that is do not put the app into the background and use another app. Select upload (as per the video above) and the remaining 22 photos will upload to the portal. Depending on the upload speed of your wifi, this can be between 1-5 minutes per 100 photos. 4G works much better and 100 photos uploads within 15-30 seconds.
